API

I am starting to create an app so I can access my dride using the API and hopefully get the info I require easier. The documentation says I need an API key in order to make the authentication call - where do I get the API key? I have not found any documentation to say

You can use the local API without auth,

Do you need remote access?

Yes. I am not standing around my car with my laptop whenever debugging, plus if it works I want to be able to do checkups and download videos while at my desk. Plus the IP address 192.168.10.1 conflicts with my main local subnet

You can connect the Dride to your local WiFi network - in which case it gets an IP on your local subnet (not 192.168.10.1). You can then use the API to access the Dride without an API key.

This is what I do anyway. The Dride app also will now work locally as well, without having to connect to the Dride AP.

Yes I would try this except connecting to the external wifi has been a problem. I want to work mainly via the external wifi (sim just for wakeups) as I have a very good mobile wifi router in my car which is always on, however the dride rarely seems to connect, despite EVERY other device I own connecting just fine and the dride seeing the SSID as a strong signal.
