How to build your own drideOS powered Dride Zero

Hello makers, and thank you for taking the time to build a Dride! We’re excited to see what you do with Dride and are looking forward to your feedback! Let's get started.

What you will need:

  • Raspberry Pi Zero W or Raspberry Pi 3
  • Pi Camera
  • 3m micro USB cable
  • Dride-Case & Dride-HAT

Getting started:

First you need to burn your SD card with the latest version of drideOS. The best way to create the SD card is by using Etcher


  • Download Etcher
  • Connect an SD card reader with the SD card inside.
  • Download the latest image of drideOS and load it into Etcher

Control the device

Download Dride's app for iOS or Android

On iOS go to your phone's wifi settings and connect your phone to the dride wifi network The default password is ilovedride

Android users will be connected automatically.


Once you’re connected to wifi, open the Dride app. The clips will begin to load on the screen.
